Andrea Dunlop is the author of five books including The Mother Next Door: Medicine, Deception, and Munchausen by Proxy (2/4/2025; St. Martin’s Press) and the host and creator of NOBODY SHOULD BELIEVE ME an investigative true crime podcast about Munchausen by proxy, which The New York Times called “a rich and harrowing chronicle of the condition”. Since its debut in October of 2022 the award-winning show has been downloaded more than ten million times. Andrea is the founder of Munchausen Support, the nation’s only non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors and families affected by Munchausen by proxy and is a member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children’s Munchausen by proxy committee where she serves alongside the country’s foremost experts.
